ABOUT US
OUR JOURNEY
Our family has been making maple syrup since the 1930's in the Town of Freedom, New Hampshire. My Great Great Grandfather Ralph Brooks had a sugar house on Youngs Hill Road.
I, Scott Brooks Sr. started making maple syrup in 1978 outside on a homemade evaporator. In 1985 my father and I built a Sugar House on Cold Brook Road. I produced syrup from that sugar house from 1985 to 2017.
In the Fall of 2016 I began building my new sugar house. The pine trees that were cut on the property were milled and incorporated into the building. It took two years to finish the new sugar house and in the 2018 Sugaring Season steam poured out from the copula. With the new location, we can finally participate in Maple Month and particularly Maple Weekend, where we give tours, and samples of the syrup we produce.
